Success! Message received.

Ydalia Yado is an educator with the Caldwell School District. She serves the district as an English teacher as well as the Migrant Graduate Specialist. She is the founder and coordinator of the Migrant Leaders Conference, an annual conference that empowers migrant families to seize the educational, career, and civic opportunities they have here in Idaho.

Growing up in the low income community of Farmway Village in Caldwell, Idaho greatly influenced her professional goals and life mission. Ydalia is a first generation American and is proud to have a Mexican heritage. She considers herself a Chicana, because she knows that her Mexican American identity, along with other parts of her identity, give her the privilege to advocate for her community. Her goal is to transform Idaho by sponsoring policies that protect Idaho's elders, veterans, children, small-businesses, farmers, hard working families, and members of the LGBT community.

Ydalia Yado is a graduate of Caldwell High School and Seattle University, a Jesuit institution. She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Theology and Religious Studies with Departmental Honors, a minor in Latin American studies, and a specialization in Diversity, Citizenship, and Social Justice. She is currently working on her Master of Public Administration at Boise State University.

Ydalia is married and has two young children. She met her husband, Daniel, when they were members of "Los Soldados de Cristo" "Christ's Soldiers" at Our Lady of the Valley Catholic Church. They enjoy raising their children, Daniel and Victorio, in Idaho surrounded by family and friends.

Ydalia’s life mission is to use the social teachings of her faith to transform her local, state, national, and global community. Ydalia believes it only takes a spark to ignite a fire that can illuminate the world. She aspires to motivate those with the privilege to vote to seize their opportunity to illuminate Idaho with integrity this November.
